INTERNATIONAL supermodel Miranda Kerr sparked a fan frenzy among Christmas shoppers at Westfield Kotara, where she appeared to promote her skincare range, KORA Organics.

Kerr arrived on Sunday to squeals and a sea of smartphones at the KORA pop-up store, which was established last week opposite David Jones.

“Thank you so much for having me, it’s good to see you guys, thank you for being here,” Kerr said, waving to the crowd and accepting a hand-drawn picture from a young child.

Kerr posed for photographs with the store’s first 200 customers, including “excited and nervous” Minmi sisters Sevenna and Kalista Matthews, who were first in the queue.

“”She’s an inspiring person to young people, she does good things and doesn’t put an act on,” Sevenna, 17, said.

Sisi Lin brought her three-year-old son Rico Zeng to be photographed with Kerr.

“It’s meaningful, I hope he is proud in the future to have gotten a photograph with her,” Ms Lin said.

Kerr said she created the 21-products in her skincare range because she believed healthy skin was beautiful.

“It’s really important for me to nourish my skin, to really rejuvenate my skin,” she said.

“What you put into your skin soaks in, because your skin is your largest organ.”

She said she “poured my heart and soul” into creating all of the products, but her favourite was rosehip oil.

Kerr did not comment on reports she has rented vineyard estate Loggerheads at Pokolbin for Christmas.

“I’ll be spending Christmas with my aunts and uncles and grandparents and parents and obviously [son] Flynn, so there will be about 31 of us all together and all cooking together in the kitchen.”
